  • Operate packaging line equipment like Can Depalletizers, Sorters/Orienters, Filler/Capper, Valve Inserters, Labelers, Sleevers, Heat Shrink Wrap Tunnels, Case Formers, Case Packers, Conveyors, Palletizers, Unitizers, Gasser, Crimper, Thermoform, Blister Machine, etc
  • Operate packaging line and related equipment from startup; including all manual adjustments (like clearing jams), to shut down
  • Troubleshoot packaging line equipment problems to determine root cause and make effective repairs and adjustments in a timely manner
  • Performs scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PMs) to ensure equipment efficiency
  • Ability to set up and change over all Packaging Line equipment in a timely manner to ensure minimum down time and smooth start up
  • Use of computers for data entry and reporting purposes
  • Achieves required OEE levels on assigned Packaging Line(s)
  • Follows all applicable waste, scrap reduction and recycling guidelines
  • For future promotional opportunities, mechanical and/or electrical experience operating maintenance equipment like the lathe, drill press, welding equipment, power and hand tools, pipe threader, hydraulic press, band saw, table saw, etc
    and appropriate measurement tools like micrometers, scales, gauges, PC for CCMail, on-line SPC, etc

  • Understands and is accountable for full compliance with RB local and Global EHS Policies and programs (i

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated competency in attention to detail, accuracy, work standards, initiative and managing work Must have strong communication skills and command of English, both verbal and written
  • Proficient with computers, software, and data processing
  • Must have working knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to maintenance activities
  • Must be able to perform duties with minimal/no direct supervision

Physical / Environmental Requirements & Conditions
  • Packaging Operator regularly works an eight (8) hour shift - overtime (including weekend work) is common and required
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends and mandatory overtime as needed
  • Frequent lifting of tools and equipment up to 50lbs
    is required
  • Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, turning in performance of duties
  • Walking, standing and climbing stairs and crossovers are common
  • Work is indoors and temperatures are seasonably normal for factory/production operations
  • Proper use of PPE is always required

  • Receives, reviews, enters, and updates data in systems such as billing, payment processing, patient registry or other system(s) applicable to the work area
      
  • Responsible for maintaining databases
     
  • Responsible and accountable for entering data into system(s) providing follow through on disposition of raw data
     
  • Uses excellent customer service skills in communicating with internal and external customers
 
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED Required
  • Requires previous experience in a work situation demonstrating organizational ability, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Requires the ability to cope with a busy working environment
     
  • Must have good communication skills, excellent clerical aptitude, math skills and keyboarding skills
     
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and handle a wide variety of confidential information
      
  • Requires good decision-making and judgment capabilities
     
  • Contributes to a cooperative and productive atmosphere
