Primary Objective
The HR Advisor will play a crucial role in providing coordination, assistance, and expert advice to employees and the management team. This position reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for supporting the timely delivery of all HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, including end-to-end recruitment, learning and development administration, and HR generalist support. The primary objective is to ensure the effective implementation of HR practices and policies, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide expert advice and support on HR policy, employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
• Develop and maintain a positive workplace culture through the implementation of sound HR systems and practices.
• Assist in promoting and ensuring workplace health and safety through preventative measures.
• Raise awareness and implement initiatives to enhance the safety and well-being of employees.
• Monitor and review HR systems and performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the implementation of initiatives to improve recruitment, performance, engagement, safety, and well-being.
• Collaborate with the HR team to review, improve, and document HR policies and team processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, legislation, and regulations.
• Access talent management and other information systems to maintain accurate workplace information.
• Prepare reports on HR matters and maintain and store employee and team documentation in line with expected standards.
• Assist in preparing for and conducting audits, risk assessments, workplace inspections, mediations, and investigations.
• Stay informed about relevant awards, enterprise agreements, legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Ensure changes in legislation are communicated and implemented, and policies/procedures are up to date.
• Maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the position through education and by affiliating with relevant industry bodies.
• Develop staff and manager training programs as required.
• Assist with other HR and organization-wide projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with demonstrated proficiency in various HR functions.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial relations frameworks and legislation, with familiarity in industrial instruments, including awards and enterprise agreements.
• Hands-on experience in handling straight forward performance management and employee relations matters.
• Proficient in using Human Resources Information Systems, talent management, and helpdesk systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs.
• Previous supervisory experience in a similar capacity.

• Familiarity with Employment Hero software.
