Position: Accounts Clerk

Kilmore Group specialise in the design and delivery of high-quality Façade, Metal Work and Remedial Asset projects. We service several sectors of the construction industry in new and existing buildings. Our projects are all designed, manufactured, and installed by our inhouse teams of specialists. Responsibilities

  • Preparing and processing documentation related to accounts payable and receivable 
  • Reconciling invoices and despatching payments 
  • Calculating, analysing and investigating the costs of proposed expenditure, wages and standard costs 
  • Preparing bank reconciliations 
  • Allocating expenditure to specified budget accounts 
  • Summarising expenditure and receipts 
  • Preparing records of standard costs and values for items such as raw materials and packaging supplies 
  • Recording cost variations and contract price movements 
  • Compiling cost data for preparation of operating budgets, and profit and loss calculations 
  • Investigating the costs of proposed expenditures, quotations and estimates 
  • Preparing reports of total costs, inventory adjustments, selling prices and profit 
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department 
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records 
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements 
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner 
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database 
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel 
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies 
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas 
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws 
  • Constantly update job knowledge 

Qualifications, Registration & Licences 

  • AQF Certificate III or willing to obtain 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

The following are some of the knowledge, skills, and abilities we require our employees to possess; 

  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software 
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Aptitude for numbers 
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
