Quality Aluminium Fabrications is looking for an architectural draftsperson to join their team. 

The Team 

Quality Aluminium Fabrications are designers and manufacturers as well as installers of bespoke, custom aluminium fences, gates and balustrades, privacy screens etc, in both aluminium and glass, 

Our factory is based in Burleigh Heads servicing Southeast QLD & Northern NSW, where we design in house, fabricate and powder coat architecturally designed work which is then delivered to site for our multiple installation teams. 

We pride ourselves on not only high-quality custom-made products, but on high quality customer service for both our larger commercial and smaller residential projects. 

The Role 

We are currently seeking a dedicated highly skilled individual to join our team as an Architectural Draftsperson. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our professional, installation and manufacturing teams by assisting with the creation of drawings and designs of items to then be manufactured. 

Collaborating closely with our project/construction management and engineering team, you will ensure that our construction drawings and designs are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. 

As an Architectural Draftsperson, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, including clients, builders, sub-contractors, and our existing professional staff. Your effective communication skills will be vital in liaising with these individuals, ensuring that all parties are well-informed and working together seamlessly. 

Customer service is a top priority for us, and as such, you will be responsible for assisting customers as needed. Your friendly and helpful demeanour will contribute to providing excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have.

The Applicant 

The successful applicate will have; 

• A suitable diploma level qualification and at least two years’ experience or in the absence of those, at least suitable architectural design experience of at least 3 years 
• Be highly, technically and design based proficient and be able to perform detailed calculations and manage and gather a large amount of data 
• Be able to interpret and amend where necessary detailed work specifications, drawings and designs and implement them based on other members of the professional team’s directions 
• Be able to coordinate a work schedule in conjunction with other professional and production-based teams 
• Have attention to detail and proficiency in design-based work when it comes to efficiency and cost 
• Be able to inspect work product to ensure production is within specification 
• Previous experience in the construction and architectural industry required 
• Effective communication skills required 
• A willingness to learn and progress and most of all, be able to produce great designs to add value to our product.
