About the Role: Facade CAD Draftsman

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Facade CAD Drafter to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the successful design, coordination, and preparation of shop drawings for facade packages. You will be responsible for creating technical drawings professionally, including curtainwall and glazing shop drawings. The role requires proficiency in CAD software packages, including AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and Bluebeam. You will need to efficiently allocate time between new and ongoing projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Produce detailed CAD drawings for facade projects, including elevations, sections, and details.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawings are accurate and meet project specifications.

• Co-ordinate with external trades.

• Revise drawings based on feedback from team members and clients.

• Maintain and organize CAD files, ensuring all drawings are up-to-date and properly archived.

• Assist in the preparation of documentation for project submissions and approvals.

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to design discussions.

• Maintain effective communication skills with team members and building professionals.

• Complete assigned tasks to ensure deadlines are met The successful candidates will possess:

• Proficiency in CAD software, with a strong emphasis on AutoCAD.

• Capable of reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Proactive learning attitude and ability to learn from team members.

• Understanding of building construction and facade systems.

• Experience in facade design and detailing.

• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

• Relevant architectural drafting qualification.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
