About the role

We are seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to provide network management and optimization, cyber security, server and system administration, support for business applications, IT infrastructure planning and scalability, disaster recovery and backup solutions, technical support and training and vendor management.

Main Responsibilities

l Manage the company’s internal and external network as well as bandwidth and network traffic to ensure smooth operations without bottlenecks.

l Manage and monitor the network system configuration of the company’s online store, deploy and maintain the online store’s servers and operating systems, manage storage systems and databases, and optimize data access and storage performance.

l Design, implement and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.

l Implement and manage firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems, and conduct security awareness training for employees.

l Manage and maintain servers, storage, and backup systems, perform regular system updates, patches and upgrades.

l Provide helpdesk support and resolve technical issues for staff, arrange technical training to ensure that all staff can effectively use technology tools. Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.

l Maintain accurate documentation of the IT Infrastructure, configurations and procedures, generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and project progress.

Experience & Skills

l Min. 10 years of experience in the IT industry working as IT Infrastructure Engineer / Network Engineer / Systems Administrator or Solution / System Architect.

l Advanced experience with Networking – Routers and Switches.

l Advanced experience with network and system security including researching, finding solutions, testing and implementing.

l Advanced experience with cloud computing, virtual networking, virtual machine.

l Advanced level in automation config, backup, restore and other automation tasks.

l Experience with open networking such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking)

l Experience with networking traffic monitoring tools such as Wireshark.

l Excellent researching, problem-solving and analytical skills.

l Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions is preferred.

l Candidate who has excellent written and verbal communication skill in both English and Mandarin is preferred.

l Candidate who has over 8 years of IT department management experience is preferred.

Qualifications 

l Candidates with a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Business Information Technology / System or a related discipline.

l Other known industry qualifications and certifications would be an advantage, such as vendor certificates from Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent.
