TerryWhite Chemmart Garran is a successful hospital-based community pharmacy situated in The Canberra Hospital. Filling prescriptions mainly for our hospital outpatients, we are at the forefront of new and emerging drug therapies currently being used within the hospital environment. However, we do more than dispense scripts. We also offer specialised services such as compression stocking fit and supply, sleep apnoea (coming soon!) services, vaccination clinics and much more. We have a strong retail trade with more than 3000 people visiting The Canberra Hospital campus each day. With recent renovations to the hospital, this will likely increase.
About the Position
As the Retail Manager at TerryWhite Chemmart Garran, you will play a critical role in overseeing and enhancing the performance of the retail side of the business. You will be responsible for the daily management of financials and pharmacy personnel, ensuring the implementation of TerryWhite Chemmart standards and procedures. In collaboration with the Pharmacist-in-Charge, you will manage the store efficiently and effectively.
Your duties will include stock management responsibilities such as daily ordering, gap scanning, processing pricing and stock updates, ticketing and catalogue execution. You will also be required to liaise with hospital department staff should they have any requests. In addition to stock management and customer service responsibilities, some administrative work will also be required.

· Able to give direction and motivate staff to excel in day-to-day activities and service.
· Train, support and develop staff in all areas of pharmacy operations to ensure excellence in customer service and maximise productivity and efficiency.
· Provide feedback to staff on performance and development.
· Implement and develop TerryWhite Chemmart and QCPP pharmacy policies and procedures.
· Monitor business KPI’s and develop corrective actions and strategies to improve and maintain KPI metrics.
· Ensure store is well presented, all stock is merchandised, clean and tidy as well as customer friendly according to TerryWhite Chemmart merchandising standards.
Essential Skills
· Experience with POS and back-of-office stock control and accounts software.
· Proficient user of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
· Ability to quickly learn new software.
· Ability to roster staff within given limitations
