We are currently seeking a skilled Transport Company Manager to oversee our fleet and transport operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring regular maintenance and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate the scheduling of transport services for house moves, deliveries, and events, ensuring timely service execution.
- Liaise with clients to understand their transport needs, offer recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Proficiency in a second language is highly advantageous to effectively meet the transport needs of our global clients and ensure their satisfaction.
- Manage the procurement and upkeep of vehicles, equipment, and fuel for efficient operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve route planning, reduce costs, and optimize transport operations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transport laws, as well as occupational health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on fleet utilization, transport efficiency, and cost management to senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and operations, particularly with customer service and logistics teams.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a fleet of vehicles and transport operations, ideally within the logistics or removalist industry.
- Proficiency in a second language is highly advantageous to effectively meet the transport needs of our global clients and ensure their satisfaction.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing teams of drivers and support staff.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with experience in route planning and logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of local and national transport regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in logistics and fleet management software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in managing budgets, fuel costs, and vehicle procurement.
