About the Role
The Client is seeking a Web Developer in the IT Division. This position reports to the Website Coordinator and joins a dynamic, results-oriented team. The role is crucial for providing enhancements and security for multiple WordPress applications, supporting:
Highway safety
Emergency messaging
Lead acquisition
Public outreach programs
Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimize scalable, distributed features and solutions for positive user experiences across desktop and mobile.
Develop new features in line with business and project requirements.
Manage vendor support for maintenance and enhancements.
Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices, and pursue continued learning opportunities.
Requirements
Education & Experience: Any combination equivalent to a Bachelor s degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field, along with considerable software implementation experience.
Proficiency in PHP.
Understanding of:
WordPress architecture
SQL
REST API
Ability to work as a team member on end-to-end web development projects.
Proven knowledge of back-end/infrastructure maintenance, optimization, and UX/UI principles.
Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with secure coding practices.
Outstanding communication skills.
