Full Stack Software Developer - Contract - 17711 About the Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Full Stack Software Developer for our Ottawa based client. This is a 12 month hybrid (3 days per week onsite) contract position with the possibility of converting to a permanent role. Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this person will join a growing agile team of skilled Developers that build enterprise-level, multi-tier applications in a mission-critical environment. Although this software company employs several tech stacks, this particular team uses Node.js, Typescript and React among others. Above all, they value attitude, aptitude, and problem-solving ability over the perfect technical fit.
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field
- 6+ years of full-stack web development experience using Node.js, Typescript, and React
- Experience designing, implementing, and consuming APIs, especially GraphQL and REST
- Experience in areas such as big data, Kubernetes and containerized applications, microservices, etc. is a strong asset
- Team-first mentality as well as the ability to work autonomously
About the Job This contract position is with one of the region's top employers. This company is known for their socially-relevant product/technology and progressive culture/work-life balance. This individual will work work 3 days/week on customer site which is located in central Ottawa. Eligibility for Canadian Top-Secret Clearance is required.
