Manager, Contracts and Data Agreements - Permanent - 17631 About the Opportunity A leading national association is seeking a Manager, Contracts and Data Agreements to join their team in Ottawa. As the Manager of Manager, Contracts and Data Agreements, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's contracts and data agreements, identifying opportunities to improve processes, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with agreements and security standards. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Data Agreements: Lead the ongoing compliance review cycle, identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Third-Party Data Approval: Manage the approval process for third-party requests, ensuring compliance with data agreements, privacy, and security standards
- Policy: Ensures policies, standards, and procedures related to data agreements and compliance are being applied
- Risk-Based Audits: Design and implement risk-based audits and compliance checks, ensuring client adherence to contracts and standards
- Training & Reporting: Develop training programs for staff and clients, and prepare annual compliance reports
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Strong background in creating data agreements and contract management
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing business contracts or in a related role
- Experience in data administration, with a focus on data privacy and security regulations
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office
- Familiarity with modern data systems and technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of contracts and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage and protect confidential information
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is required
About the Job Duration: Permanent
Location: Ottawa (Hybrid work environment available)
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
