HV Technician (ANZSCO: 312312 - Electrical Engineering Technician)
Full-time/Permanent
$78,000 - $85,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision and direction of Electrical Engineer
- Experience with High Voltage maintenance and testing and commissioning
- Experience in testing various relays, Sepam, VAMP, Siemens, SEL, GE Multilins ABB, Reyrolle & GEC Electromechanical relays for example
- Experience in testing - protection systems, generator protection, transformers, cables
- Differential and Distance Protection Scheme understanding and testing experience
- Experience using test equipment and software, Omicron, DIGSI for example
- HV Testing of transformers, motors, circuit breakers and cables
- Substation Maintenance
- Experience in assisting with preparation of Technical Test plans, ITP, Punch List and create detailed technical reports on completion of works
- Electrical Protection Engineer with ability to complete Arc Flash modelling and assessment, HV single line diagram update, HV submission – Advantageous
- Frequent travel to sites within Western Australia, NT and some International travel

Qualification and Experience:
Relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or equivalent and minimum two years relevant experience
At least three years of highly relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

HV Cable Jointer/Splicer/Terminator (ANZSCO: 342212 – Technical Cable Jointer)
Full-time/Permanent
$74,000 - $80,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience)
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform high voltage jointing, splicing and terminations
- Raychem and Nexan experience
- Ability to complete in-line joints
- VLF/IR testing – desirable but not essential
- Paper lead experience – desirable but not essential
Qualification and experience:
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
At least three years of highly relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
