IT Systems Analyst - Permanent - 17754 About the Opportunity  LRO Staffing is partnered with one of Canada’s largest health institutions seeking an experienced IT Systems Analyst. The selected candidate will join the back-office systems team composed of 6-8 Systems Analysts and will report into the Director of Architecture. While this team is remote-friendly, there will be some in-office work and thus only candidates local to Ottawa will be considered. Duties include but are not limited to: 

• General infrastructure administration and support in both Windows and Linux environments; building new virtual servers or patching existing servers, Active Directory configuration, managing backup systems and storage, etc.
• Continuous research and analysis into emerging technology and industry trends for the purpose of prospective adoption, especially with regards to cybersecurity
• Constant collaboration with peer IT teams and cross-functional teams within the organization, as well as mentorship and hands-on training to team members

About You The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, or similar
• 8+ years of IT support experience ideally with expertise in both Windows and Linux environments
• Strong expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere and Horizon VDI, etc. as well as strong networking background (TCP/IP, DNS, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
• Exposure and understanding of cybersecurity best practices, backup systems and data management strategies, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills as well as the ability to thrive both in a team and autonomously
