CreativeMornings is Hiring a Chapter Community Manager

CreativeMornings HQ in Brooklyn is looking for a full-time Chapter Community Manager to join our nine person team. This role is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the CreativeMornings universe and make an impact on the lives of thousands of creative humans all around the world. In this role, it will be your job to befriend and support remarkable, heart-centered and generous humans all over the world. 

You will report directly to our Head of Community Exa and have a key role in ensuring that the engine of our global chapter volunteer community is running smoothly. The CreativeMornings chapter team serves the 1000+ global volunteers who generously offer their time to run local CreativeMornings chapters. CreativeMornings volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization and we honor these remarkable humans by providing the resources and support they need to best serve their local creative communities. 

The ideal candidate for this role is NYC-based and lit up by the idea of working at least two days a week from our wonderfully communal home at Friends Work Here coworking space in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.

Further, you will have:

  • A willingness and ability to get up to speed fast with the tools we use daily to work: Slack, Google Documents, Keynote, Asana, Dropmark, Dropbox, Zoom, Klaviyo, Mailchimp,  Siteleaf, etc.
  • Some experience with community building and community management.
  • A love for events and, ideally, experience producing events.
  • The proper authorization to work in the United States.

Your day to day will include:  

  • Managing and stewarding our global chapter volunteer community
  • Maintaining and improving internal chapter community management systems to track and measure chapter community communications, health, and engagement. 
  • Onboarding new chapter organizers onto internal CreativeMornings platforms, and external platforms such as
  • Mailchimp, Tumblr, Flickr, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. 
  • Liaising with new hosts and organizers throughout the onboarding process and empowering them to lead their chapter effectively. 
  • Facilitating host succession planning and chapter handoffs. 
  • Holding one-on-one coaching meetings with chapter organizers.
  • Responding to direct messages, providing technical support to chapter hosts, and other community outreach. 
  • Contributing to community engagement strategy and future improvements. 
  • Facilitating global connection and engagement within the CreativeMornings chapter community
  • Taking the lead in designing and hosting monthly online Community Office Hours with chapter organizers calling in from all over the world. 
  • Designing and facilitating one-off workshops and/or other special events.
  • Designing and facilitating forums for chapter hosts and organizers to connect with each other and with HQ.
  • Assisting with the production of our global organizers Summit.
  • Supporting the production of CreativeMornings/NYC events with the CreativeMornings HQ team.
  • Managing our internal handbook and chapter knowledge base, including:
  • Updating all information periodically to ensure accuracy.
  • Writing and preparing new informational articles and associated resources (e.g., GIFs, videos, and checklists). 
  • Migrating our current resources to a new platform in line with our bigger picture information strategy. 
  • Supporting all chapter organizer communications, including writing, editing, and compiling information for one off special messaging and monthly newsletters. 
  • Producing specific content such as videos, newsletters and other materials according to our organizer communications strategy. 
  • Pitching, designing, and project managing special initiatives designed to improve the chapter volunteer experience, streamline community management, and/or deepen connections within our global community.

CreativeMornings HQ is a small but mighty team and we support our employees by providing competitive market rate compensation, a generous vacation policy, and a range of benefits including health and dental insurance. We also offer an annual professional development stipend, Summer Fridays, and a 401k employee retirement plan. 

The salary range for this role, dependent on your experience, is $65,000 to $80,000.
