Civil Engineer

The City of Karratha is currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team, with the role commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems and public facilities
  • Conduct site inspections and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with project requirements and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare detailed engineering plans, cost estimates and project timelines
  • Monitor construction progress, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Evaluate and optimise designs to ensure cost-effective and sustainable engineering solutions
  • Prepare and deliver reports, proposals and technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in civil engineering design, project management and site supervision
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, codes and regulations
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
