Civil Engineer
The City of Karratha is currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team, with the role commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design and oversee construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems and public facilities
- Conduct site inspections and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with project requirements and relevant regulations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare detailed engineering plans, cost estimates and project timelines
- Monitor construction progress, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Evaluate and optimise designs to ensure cost-effective and sustainable engineering solutions
- Prepare and deliver reports, proposals and technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in civil engineering design, project management and site supervision
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, codes and regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
