About the Role:

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Technician to join our team and assist civil engineers in planning, designing, and implementing infrastructure projects. This role involves surveying, data collection, drafting, site inspections, and compliance monitoring to support the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveying & Data Collection:

• Assist engineers with land surveys and topographical data collection.
• Operate surveying instruments like theodolites, GPS, and total stations.
• Analyze and interpret survey data to ensure project accuracy.

Engineering Support & Drafting:

• Create, review, and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and project requirements.
• Provide technical support during the planning, design, and implementation phases.

Site Visits & Inspections:

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans.
• Identify hazards and suggest safety improvements.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on building codes, safety standards, and environmental laws.
• Maintain detailed records of project specifications, materials, and site conditions.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Assist in testing construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and steel.
• Monitor construction techniques to ensure adherence to best practices.

Cost Estimation & Stakeholder Coordination:

• Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Track expenditures and ensure budget compliance.
• Act as a liaison between civil engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

? Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

?Knowledge of surveying instruments and techniques.

?Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

?Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

?Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

?Understanding of safety regulations and construction standards.
