About the Role
The Quality Assurance and Systems Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the integrity,
functionality, and optimization of digital systems, banking applications, and connected
systems. This includes working across CRM (Customer Relationship Management), ERP
(Enterprise Resource Planning), mobile and web banking applications, transaction
processing systems, and ATM/branch systems. The focus will be on delivering a seamless,
high-quality customer experience and supporting operational excellence for the banking
institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance
- Develop comprehensive test plans and cases based on banking workflows, functional specifications, and business requirements, covering digital banking platforms, ERP, CRM, and connected systems.
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of core banking applications, including mobile, online, and ATM channels.
- Identify, document, analyze, and track defects to resolution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate testing results to internal teams and external vendors, emphasizing critical issues and potential risks.
- Support the launch and optimization of banking systems, including CRM, ERP, and transaction management systems, ensuring that they meet the highest quality standards.
- Utilize tools like JIRA or TestRail for test management and defect tracking to maintain a streamlined QA process.
- Execute and maintain automation testing scripts for banking platforms to improve testing efficiency.
- Systems Analysis
- Analyze system requirements, workflows, and specifications to identify gaps or improvements in digital and core banking platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to align technical capabilities with business needs.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose system enhancements to prevent them.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal teams (e.g., IT, operations, compliance) and external stakeholders, such as software vendors and system integrators, to deliver high-quality banking solutions.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, defect resolution, and system performance.
- Act as a point of contact for resolving live issues affecting customers, including transaction errors or system downtimes.
- Partner with project managers and other analysts to ensure the timely delivery of enhancements to banking systems.
- Compliance and Security
- Ensure all testing processes comply with banking regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with security teams to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing as part of the QA process.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. OR
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Systems Analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in creating and executing test cases, writing acceptance criteria, and
- defining test plans for financial systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in banking (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, Basel norms).
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of core banking systems, payment gateways, and transaction management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Experience with banking technologies such as Temenos T24, Finacle, or Oracle Banking systems is a plus.

Salary
$80,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation
