We are seeking expressions of interest from an Accountant to join our friendly team.

 The role involves;

·        Co-ordination and preparation of monthly / annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.

·        Collect analyse and disseminate financial and non-financial information to the .

management as required

·        Prepare monthly consolidated P & L and balance sheet.

·        Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

·        Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

·        Coordinate and complete annual audits

·        Oversee and manage the general bookkeeping responsibilities including accounts payable

and receivable activities ensuing payments are made promptly.

·        Oversee the preparation of fortnightly payroll and sub contractor payments, preparation of . PAYG summaries, superannuation liabilities, payroll tax and workers compensation

·        Oversee the accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, and provide regular cash flow

forecasts and updates

·        Coordinate with Company's Tax Accountant in preparation of tax and ensuring the timely

lodgements of income tax returns, business activity statements and fringe benefits tax

·        Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

·        Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

·        Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

·        Maintain best practise according to accounting, audit and government and tax standards

Qualification and experience requirements;

·        Bachelor degree or higher in accounting, auditing, finance or other relevant areas or the .

equivalence

·        Relevant skills: Strong accounting knowledge. Strong organisational, communication and

interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Be able to meet deadlines and be target driven.

Highly skilled with MYOB or the similar accounting software.

·        At least two years experience relevant to the position
