Software engineer - Autodesk manufacturing products

Cadpro has a team of full stack web developers building web apps on the Autodesk cloud platform, for a global market. These products will be marketed to current and new Autodesk software users and provide a value add to the Autodesk ecosystem.  

We need an experienced Inventor specialist who has experience with Autodesk Inventor's iLogic programming language. A ongoing part of the product's development lifecycle would be the creation of intelligent, configurable 3D models written with iLogic. These configurable models and associated user interface are a pre-requisite for the Autodesk Manufacturing Cloud Design Automation service that the Cadpro Configurator is being developed on. 

As such, Cadpro are looking for an Autodesk Inventor iLogic Software Engineer who can work closely with our existing development team, to write all the supporting code necessary, as well as having advanced CAD design skills. 

Purpose of Position and key responsibilities

• Work on the Cadpro Configurator using VB.net, vba and iLogic

• Creation of intelligent, configurable 3D models in iLogic

• Expertise in Inventor and 3D modelling

• Testing/implementing/installing and supporting various software applications and systems as needed both Autodesk and other

• Researching, analysing and evaluating various systems for customer needs and identifying technology limitations and issues in processes

• Providing advice and expertise in developing the proposals and strategies for direction in software design and support

• Maintaining end user documentation and operational procedures

• Providing support for Configurator

• Understanding of AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360 and CADPRO Technical Support, Training and consulting services for context.

• Assist in providing training in both classroom and onsite settings as well as online – both internally and externally.

• Work with the CADPRO Sales/Technical team to ensure the optimum customer experience and to ensure that CADPRO’s profitability is maintained per customer/project

• Where necessary, maintain professional relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders

• Assist sales staff by providing live product demonstrations and other assistance as required.

We require at least 4 years relevant experience and a Bacherlor Degree. The salary range is between $80,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation.
