The Opportunity

As an Accountant (General), you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of BAS reports and tax returns, examines operating costs and income and expenditure, manages funds, financial reports, maintains internal control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organisation's financial health. This role involves financial analysis, budget preparation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve organisational goals.

The role is based in our Sydney office. Currently we are looking for a full-time Accountant for our Sydney office. The successful applicant will be working 38 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Successful applicant will be receiving annual salary of $73150 plus 11% super contribution from us. Fours weeks of paid annual leave plus 10 sick leaves will pe offered.

Expected duties

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end close processes.
• Prepare and lodge tax returns, including GST and BAS.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and analysis.
• Identify and drive improvements to financial processes and internal controls.

• 1 year in an accounting role, ideally in a professional services or consultancy environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline. CA/CPA qualification.
