As part of our commitment to excellence and due to continued growth and expansion, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Cabinet Maker/ Draftsperson to join our dynamic and professional team on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will work closely with a supportive team of skilled professionals to craft high-quality cabinetry and joinery, ensuring that every project meets the unique needs and expectations of our clients. This position is perfect for someone passionate about their trade and dedicated to producing superior workmanship.

As a Cabinet Maker/Draftsperson, your role includes (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Interpret detailed kitchen designs and drawings provided by clients or the design team.
  • Order suitable materials, such as timber, laminate, or engineered wood, to meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop drawings and designs in Cabinet Vision tailored to project specifications.
  • Assemble cabinets, drawers, and other custom joinery pieces with precision and attention to detail.
  • Use a range of hand tools and power tools, including saws, drills, routers, and edge-banding machines.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Coordinate with designers, project managers, and installers to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Adhere to Australian work health and safety (WHS) standards and company policies.

Requirements - capabilities and competencies

  • Strong understanding of the industry-specific processes, tools, and equipment required for the role.
  • Qualified cabinet maker or have demonstrated prior experience in the same or equivalent role
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining relevant machinery, software, or systems, ensuring seamless and efficient workflow.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational or technical challenges to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision, ensuring all work adheres to quality standards and specifications.
  • Clear verbal and written communication to effectively collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold a White Card (Occupational Health and Safety Induction Card)
