Position: Motel Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $73,500 to $75,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: 78 Fitzroy Street, Rockhampton, 4700, QLD

Yashica Imports Pty Ltd operating as Y Motels Rockhampton is seeking an outstanding and energetic Motel Manager to join our growing team.

Ideally, we are looking for an individual to be the live on-site Manager with experience in the Hospitality industry, reception and Customer Service, to join our thriving and highly rated Motel.

Tasks required include:

• As motel manager you will be responsible to handle day to day operation of the business in an efficient and friendly manner. You will need to be prepared to be versatile and engage in all facets of the business including:
• Managing of the business to ensure profitability KPI's are met.
• Back-office operations, Front of House and management of reservation systems including online enquiries.
• Ensuring every guest's expectations are met and satisfied.
• Able to live on-site and work shifts depending on demand of the business

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role relevant hospitality management role
• Demonstrated experience in Hotel or Motel Management experience in local or overseas hospitality market
• Excellent customer service skills to be able to build rapport with customers.
• Proficiency in using relevant hospitality management software and technology
• Office duties, converting telephone enquiries into direct bookings, marketing and promoting the property to attain consistent high levels of occupancy.
• Ensuring best customer engagement every guest's expectations are met and satisfied.
• Have high attention to detail and a keen eye for room presentation and cleanliness.
• Purchasing experience including cost management
• A creative side to be able to market the Motel through promotions.
• The ability to undertake general maintenance tasks as required, including gardening and property maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of operations.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION OF MOTEL/HOTEL MANAGER:

• Associated Advanced Diploma and higher degree in relevant field.
• At least three(3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• At least one year of work experience.
• RSA Certificate required.
• Knowledge of health and hygiene requirements.
• Knowledge of Australian Work Safety Standards
• Eye of detail.
• Time Management.
• Action and Result Oriented.
• Managerial and Leadership qualities.
• Adaptability and Quick Learner.
