We cater for the large agricultural producer down to the backyard gardener, by providing all the information in order to increase both profitability and sustainability. We are looking for a qualified Agronomist/Soil Scientist to join our team.

Main Duties:

• Studying the environmental factors affecting commercial crop production, pasture growth, and the growth and health of forest trees
• Studying the effects of cultivation techniques, soils, insects and plant diseases on crop and forest production
• Determining the qualities and properties of soil.
• Visiting sites and taking soil samples for laboratory testing.
• Conducting soil balance analysis
• Carrying out analysis on test data.
• Developing procedures and techniques for solving agricultural or horticultural problems and improving the efficiency of production
• Provide tailored, solution-focused recommendations to customers, helping them improve soil health and crop yields 
• Making maps and models using computers and mapping software.
• Researching the effects of pollution, deforestation and erosion on the make-up of soil.
• Writing reports assessing the suitability of land for a variety of uses such as agriculture, forestry, environmental protection, and waste management.

Skills qualifications and experience required:

• At least 1 year of experience in similar role
• Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Agronomy, agricultural science, Agronomic Engineering or equivalent.
