Key Responsibilities,
- Oversee the daily operations of the boutique hotel and provide strategic direction.
- Manage staff, address customer complaints, and enhance the hotel's reputation through positive experiences.
- Create reports, manage budgets, and implement marketing plans to promote hotel services.
We are looking for a trustworthy and honest team member to join a boutique hotel, 10 minutes outside from the CBD. The applicant will be an experienced Hotel Manager or someone who has had experiencing managing a business, to oversee the daily operations of our hotel as well as provide strategic direction. It is important for the hotel manager to be involved in all aspects of the hotel operations. You will be just as responsible for dealing with complaints as for future planning and preparing reports. You will be the point of reference for employees and clients.
The hotel manager must be able to manage a team and guide employees with a kind demeanor. Essentially a team player and someone who can lead by example and create a consultative culture in the workplace.
The goal is to enhance the reputation of the hotel through positive customer experience and expand our client base.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as Hotel Manager or relevant role (one to two years)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Understanding of all hotel management best practices
- Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of hotel management software (PROTEL PMS) is an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
- Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Supervise work at all levels (reception, housekeeping staff, local vendors)
- Plan to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the hotel and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model
- Create reports for the directors, manage budgets/expenses, analyse and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
- Develop and implement marketing plans to promote the hotel and its services
- Communicate with customers when appropriate - (welcoming them, addressing their complaints, finding solutions to problems, offering information)
- Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.
- Maintaining brand standards
Key Qualifications & experience
- Leadership, customer service, outstanding communication skills, self-driven with outstanding managerial skills with minimum of Diploma /Bachelor qualification in the similar stream.
This is a full-time position, aimed at candidates who fit the company culture and are dedicated to the long-term vision of the hotel.
Candidates with Australian citizens or permanent residency will be preferred.
