About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agricultural Technician to join our team and contribute to our hydroponic farming operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the success of our production processes by utilising advanced agricultural techniques and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Soil and Water Analysis: Conduct water quality tests and evaluate nutrient levels to ensure optimal conditions for hydroponic crop growth.
  • Crop Monitoring and Management: Monitor plants for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and implement effective control measures.
  • Nutrient Management: Prepare and manage nutrient solutions for hydroponic systems, ensuring precise nutrient delivery to crops.
  • Planting and Harvest Coordination: Oversee the planning and implementation of crop planting and harvesting, maintaining detailed records for tracking growth cycles.
  • Irrigation System Management: Operate, maintain, and optimize hydroponic irrigation systems to ensure consistent water flow and efficient resource usage.
  • Farm Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair farm equipment, including pumps, filters, and automated hydroponic systems.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyse data on crop performance to identify areas for improvement and enhance productivity.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to food safety standards and environmental regulations, while maintaining a safe working environment for staff.
  • Technology Integration: Install, calibrate, and maintain advanced agricultural technologies such as sensors, automated feeders, and farm management software.
  • Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to farm workers on the use of hydroponic systems and other agricultural technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Diploma or higher qualification in agriculture or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in agriculture, preferably in hydroponic or controlled-environment farming.
  • Strong knowledge of hydroponic farming techniques, including nutrient solutions, water quality management, and pest control.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting advanced agricultural technologies and equipment.
  • Attention to detail for managing nutrient levels, monitoring plant health, and analysing data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and supervise farm staff.
  • Commitment to sustainable and innovative farming practices.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese is highly desirable to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce and partners.
