About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in managing our portfolio of NBN Construction projects. In this position, you will oversee site assessments, design, team leadership, and contractor management, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of construction orders. Your work will uphold our commitment to safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities: As a Civil Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Cost Estimation: Calculating project costs, including materials, labor, equipment and lead times.
  • Material Management: Determining material requirements and ordering from preferred suppliers.
  • Site Investigation: Conducting on-site assessments and analyzing data, such as maps, reports, and blueprints.
  • Design & Drafting: Developing civil trenching and drilling construction plans using CAD software and finalizing drawings for approval.
  • Standards Development: Establishing construction methods and standards, including load analysis for steel structures.
  • Construction Oversight: Directing site labor and overseeing the construction and installation of civil trenching and drilling projects to meet design and safety standards.
  • Change Management: Monitoring design changes, assessing cost impacts, and managing design variations.
  • Project Tracking: Tracking project progress, preparing detailed reports, and reviewing completed construction work.
  • Budget Management: Managing budgets and resources while ensuring compliance with legal, health, and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For: To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in civil construction, particularly in trenching and drilling projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and construction planning principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality results in a safe and sustainable manner.
