Your role

Our Junior Electrical Engineer will work closely with our Estimating team, Project Managers, Engineers and the Managing Director to ensure seamless productivity for projects, while developing the skills and experience needed for a successful Electrical Engineering career.

Responsibilities and requirements:

·         Implementing and developing activities issued by the team to ensure successful design, procurement, and delivery of the projects.

·         Contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for various building/construction projects.

·         Assisting with technical clarifications to clients.

·         Assist senior engineers with site assessments and feasibility studies.

·         Design current ratings of switchboards and embedded metering for ongoing Design and Construct projects.

·         A strong understanding of the fundamental safety principles that shape minimum regulatory  requirements for safe electrical installation, and solutions to achieve safety principles for the electrical installation work.

·         Interpreting specifications, blueprints, standards, and regulations associated with electric power equipment and its application.

·         Perform engineering calculations and develop engineering documentation to support design decisions. High analytical and mathematical skills are required.

·         Well-developed oral and written communication skills which enable a Junior Electrical Engineer to work efficiently with contractors, architects, and other professionals that are involved in construction projects

·         Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project outcomes align with client expectations.

·         Participate in project meetings, fostering effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

·         Prepare technical documentation, including reports and specifications.

·         Stay informed on industry standards and emerging technologies in building services.

Qualification:

·         Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipling.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·         Proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit) is advantageous.

·         A passion for sustainable design and innovative building solutions.
