**Position Overview:

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Network and Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and security of in-house and cloud-based network services and systems while optimizing the performance of networks and system resources.

Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Design and Implementation

  • Plan, design, and implement secure and scalable computer networks for both LAN and WAN environments.
  • Evaluate business requirements to determine suitable network architecture solutions.
  • Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.

System Administration

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Network Security

  • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data, systems, and networks.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Respond to security incidents and provide remediation strategies.

Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network-related and system-related issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and system operations for internal use.

Optimization and Innovation

  • Analyze network traffic and system performance to identify bottlenecks and propose enhancements.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend adoption to improve efficiency.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using tools or scripts to enhance productivity

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Computer Network and Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and system administration.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or other networking equipment.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts and tools (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of SD-WAN and modern networking solutions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $73,100.00 – $75,000.00 per year + super

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
