ABOUT THE ROLE

We are on the look out for a Technical Service Engineer based out of our Scientific Business Unit in Lane Cove, NSW. Your day-to-day activities will focus on delivering engineering services and application support to customers of our medical & scientific instrumentation equipment. 

You will be fundamentally responsible for providing ongoing post-sales support, enabling you to develop and apply thorough knowledge around how instruments, software, consumables, and accessories combine to create a solution that meets our client’s needs.

You will also have secondary responsibility to manage a spare parts register, accurate records, job logging, and customer billing. In doing so, you will have the opportunity to regularly liaise with our National Customer Service team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide detailed technical resources/guides/manuals and product support to the Sales & Marketing Team inclusive of:
  • Product-specific training
  • Technologies
  • Applications
  • Software support
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and break-down repairs at customer sites across NSW & QLD
  • Deliver product reviews and report design issues via our quality improvement process
  • Assist the wider team with ad-hoc equipment performance reporting and account related matters
  • Maintain a strict level of compliance in line with governing standards (international and domestic)
  • Conduct fault-finding training and activities on all products/equipment/machines
  • Manage a register of daily duties and a concise log of intermittent service reports

ABOUT YOU

  • Electronic Engineering/Scientific (or related) Diploma or higher qualification. This can include electronics, scientific or biomedical qualifications
  • A demonstrated track record in the electronics, engineering, or biomedical industry
  • Experience working within a quality-certified environment covering electric, scientific, or biomedical services
  • Previous management of technical asset quality control processes
  • Customer-service focused and willing to engage with key accounts
  • Technically astute with the ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and educational manner
  • Willing to be ‘on-the-road’ and hands-on where required
  • Have an Australian Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
