Electronic Equipment Trades Worker / Mobile Phone Technician

Your New Role Involves:

  1. Mastering both software and hardware repairs of mobile and computer devices promptly.
  2. Engaging with customers to diagnose and resolve issues with mobile phone and tablet technology efficiently.
  3. Utilizing micro soldering tools, diagnosing logic board level faults, and conducting data recovery on both logic and motherboard levels.
  4. Identifying and fixing modular component level faults, employing diagnostic tools, and carrying out electronic repairs using the right tools and equipment.
  5. Providing expert advice on software and hardware issues, delivering outstanding customer service, and managing retail sales of mobile phone accessories.
  6. Developing and implementing software and hardware solutions swiftly to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
  7. Repairing or replacing damaged or defective electronic components, maintaining equipment and devices.
  8. Keeping accurate records of work orders using in-house software, ensuring detailed documentation.
  9. Executing computer network setups, managing stock/inventory, and keeping a tidy repair workspace.
  10. Communicating effectively with customers in-person, over the phone, through email, and on website chat.
  11. Completing daily tasks as per checklists, including LCD screen refurbishment and processing payments.

Requirements?

  1. A qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electronic equipment maintenance and repair.
  3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Familiarity with a variety of electronic components, tools, and testing equipment.
  6. Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
  7. Skilled in micro soldering and using diagnostic tools.
  8. You possess excellent communication skills and are focused on providing the best customer service.
  9. Experience in retail sales and inventory management is a plus.
