LIVE THE LIFE IN MUDGEE – SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Progressive local accounting firm situated in the heart of beautiful, picturesque Mudgee is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.
You will be involved in a range of accounting and taxation services that we offer to local small/medium business clients across industries including primary production, wineries, mining services, manufacturing, professional services, hospitality and retail.
Your role will include:
·Delivering a comprehensive suite of tax and business advisory services
·Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, SMSF, partnerships and individuals
·Preparation of quarterly and monthly BAS for clients
·Liaising directly with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other associated regulatory bodies regarding client queries and regularly reviewing taxation systems and controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
·Assist clients with implementing and using software including Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB
·Maintain sound knowledge of current rules and regulations, new legislations and software compliance
·General assistance to clients when required
Skills and experience required:
·Formal qualification in accounting or business, that supports a strong financial understanding
·At least 3 years of accounting experience required.
·Public practice experience in advisory, accounting and tax
·Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
·Excellent work ethic with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, strong analytical skills
·Hands-on experience with accounting software programs and all Microsoft Office Suite
·Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
·Ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional time management skills, whilst remaining calm under pressure
·The ability to work autonomously and importantly, as part of a team
·A positive “can do” attitude.
