 SharePoint Architect - Contract - 18007 About the Opportunity  Our Federal Government client is seeking a SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) to establish best practices, design SharePoint site architecture, oversee extensive document cleanup and disposition, and provide technical guidance and training to stakeholders. Additionally, the role may involve developing templates and facilitating the migration of applications and data from DWAN SharePoint to D365 SharePoint. These efforts will enhance user capabilities, enabling them to perform their business tasks more efficiently. Duties include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work with business, functional and technical leads to provide SharePoint site creation,  configuration, administration, support and maintenance
  •  Lead and facilitate workshops to gather/affirm, analyze, and validate sites, processes, workflows and any other web applications that will be migrated to D365 SharePoint site in cloud environment
  • Document the requirements for the set-up, configuration of the D365 SharePoint environment
  • Coordinate data migrations, form, site and content creation and changes, including integration with other systems
  • Providing SharePoint support and end-user training as well as group training sessions related to SharePoint
  • Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions at the L1 while guiding L2 and L3 SharePoint owners
  • Supporting L2 and L3 Owners with troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports to ensure optimized user-experiences
  • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades
  • Maintain a support page with tutorials and resources relevant to IM solutions
  • Monitor assigned group mailbox for support requests
  • Triage, prioritize, and action support requests as required and/or assigned by the Digital Hub
  • Move content from DWAN SharePoint site to D365 SharePoint online when required
  • Convert files to space saving formats (e.g. PDF) on a regular basis
  • Identify information resources of business value (IRBV)/Information Assets and initiate a transfer of this information from DWAN SharePoint to D365 SharePoint online, when required
  • Plan, develop and test migration solutions
  • Gathering user requirements for future enhancements
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in the area of specialization from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Must clearly demonstrate a minimum of 23 months SharePoint management experience within the past 5 years
  • Must clearly demonstrate a minimum 23 months Microsoft 365 and/or Defence 365 SharePoint experience within the past 5 years
  • Must have a security clearance at a minimum level of  Reliability
  • Strong English communication skills
