Web Software Developer (Django Framework)
a leading federal defense contractor has an immediate need for a Web Software Developer to work with a small team to design, build, test, deploy and support enterprise web applications to modernize the management of data and design information developed for our customers.The initial contract is for 6-months with the potential to extend or convert based on job performance and business need. The position is 100% onsite at our client's facility in Scottsdale, AZ.The web applications will allow the product development team to store project data in a relational database, where the data not only provides the customer with complex re-build, upgrade, and sustainment information, but the data is also available for data mining in support of maintaining licensed software installs, license allocation, and system configurations.
Required Skills:
- Active Secret Clearance preferred at time of hire (will consider candidates who are eligible)- Bachelor-s degree in Computer Science, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master-s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience- Agile experience preferred- Experience with designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining web applications built on the Django Python Framework using a Microsoft SQL Server database for data storage.Key skills and technologies include:- Web Developer with MS SQL Experience- Django Python Framework- GitLab and Git for version control- Experience with HTML 5, HTMX, JavaScript, and CSS- Able to develop and provide innovative and creative solutions to a variety of difficult problems of considerable scope and complexity, using established precedent and policies- Display initiative on assignments, exercise independent judgment and professionally execute projects with little direction.- Capable of working on complex problems of diverse scope or situations or data that requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
