This is a contract position that is responsible for the systems and infrastructure which support the Missionary Management System. They are involved in the prepare and commit phase as they help the solution team identify viable designs and products. They are responsible for documenting the systems components of the business, information, application, and technical architectures, with most of their work being in the latter two. They are responsible for creating and documenting the detail design for the system and transitioning the project moves into the create and production phase. They are responsible for building instances of this system to support the rest of the implementation team. When the system is in production, they ensure that all incidents and outages not resolved by less-senior engineers are resolved. They identify and resolve the root cause of recurring problems, involving vendors as necessary. This position is NOT a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Analytics Engineer, nor a Database Administrator position. This is an application transactional Database Engineer role. Responsibilities Configure and maintain the database software Serve as an application transactional database engineer, working side-by-side with Software Engineers to build new solutions and maintain legacy application Create data structure Analyze and protect data, including troubleshooting, backups, security processesconfiguration Design and develop both data services and data integrations Follow engineering best practices Fulfill technical lead role for engineering solutions Create standards and procedures for operations teams Analyze database systems problems and provide problem resolution Respond to security issues and requests Assist with production documentation Comply with policy, standards, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience 6 years relevant professional experience 3 years of experience supporting product development activities and be capable of guiding technology decisions.
