Overview:22squared is looking for a Dev Lead - Sr. Backend Developer to join our Technology Team. This is a contract-to-hire role, with the high hope of this turning into full-time, permanent employment in 2021. In this role you will help deliver powerful solutions to our clients, including website platforms and MarTech integrations and solutions.The ideal candidate is someone who has been in the trenches of development, and while still enjoying rolling-up-your-sleeves and digging in as needed, it is a perfect fit for someone who has made the transition to a leadership role with a proven track record of success. As this is a department lead, this candidate will be responsible for setting department vision in collaboration with senior leadership of this group, managing direct reports, managing a pipeline of outsourced vendors and freelancers, participating in business development and client meetings, etc. This individual will need to have proven leadership experience and will be responsible for the operational aspects of the development team.Technical Responsibilities:* Create user-first solutions that are secure, reliable and scalable* Direct and/or create meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that issues are captured and addressed proactively* Technical escalation point for the tech and IT team - willing and able to drive troubleshooting with a solve and teach approach* Maintain, expand, and scale our sites as needed* Manage hosting of agency and client websites* Manage deployments* Partnering with FE developer(s) to bring static and WordPress websites to life* Set up environmentsLeadership / Operational Responsibilities:* Direct build engineering, monitoring and migration to AWS, Pantheon, Azure* Partner with other disciplines across the company to problem solve and estimate complex technology work* Continuously seek out and maintain a proactive pipeline of external freelancers and technical partners* Vendor management: contracting, scoping, code reviews, provide feedback, negotiation, etc.* Provide expertise and leadership in platform security* Proactive, independent adherence to quality technical documentation; Generate and evaluate user stories* Technical consult and approval of partners based on craftsmanship and capabilitiesJob Requirements & Preferred Skills:* 8-12 years of hands on coding experience;* 7-8 years as Engineering experience with 1-3+ years in a technical leadership role* Digital Agency background a plus* Able to work in a team and independently* Agile Scrum development team experience* Backend development* Dev Ops, Hosting & migrations* Security & Privacy* Data integration* Experience building mobile apps* Sitecore experience a plus, but not required* Experience supporting teams in building ADA compliant solutions* Familiarity with CCPA a plus* Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Internet/Intranet websites using established WC3 and federal web best practices.* Experience with Marketing Technologies* Preferably Salesforce* Participation in sprint planning, ensuring user stories are clearly understood and acceptance criteria agreed upon.Platforms & Technologies:Below is a sample of technologies utilized within this role.
