Mackson, an A-TEK Company, is seeking to staff a team of software professionals to build and deploy new systems with web capabilities for our key government customers. We have an immediate opportunity for a Database Administrator (DBA) in our Rockville, MD office. The DBA will also spend time at the customer site in Rockville, MD in support of federal clients. The Database Administrator will be responsible for providing support to Oracle systems. Tasks will include ensuring accuracy of data, improving database front end, and establishing access permissions. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on financial technologies and provide recommendations for improvements. For this position, the ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to be able to speak to both IT focused and non-IT focused stakeholders. The individual will be adept at completing multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Key Responsibilities middot Provide database administration, reporting, systems administration, and development activities middot Improving architecture and efficiency of the current schemas and database middot Develop scripts to implement new structures (tables, columns, etc.) middot Develop scripts to perform ETL and migration activities middot Perform database refresh activities into lower environments middot Participate in Agile ceremonies and support multiple Agile Teams middot Implementing and maintaining access permissions middot Provide requirements analysis, implementation of database concepts, and development of visualization products middot Organize, create, and maintain documents and effectively communicate status of project to all levels of the organization middot Prepare documentation of schemas and databases middot Utilize JIRA to support project flow middot Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications middot Bachelorrsquos degree in IT, business, or related fields with at least five yearsrsquo experience middot At least 5 years of experience proactively analyzing, and developing Oracle data-based assignments based on customer requirements middot Advanced proficiency in SQL required middot Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment middot Ability to work independently and know when to seek assistance middot Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication skills including professional emails A-TEK, Inc. is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action employer.
