About the role

This role is so much more than just “pumping out” code. It’s about delivering customer specific, software solutions that improve our customers’ business processes. It includes installing, setting up and configuring, modifying (via code), and testing the range of software solutions we offer.

The role is quite varied. Our customers are in the manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, retail and professional services industry sectors across Australia and New Zealand. Our solutions work with and extend the functionality of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions across the business functions of sales, marketing, finance and operations.

The role will draw on your ability to interpret customer requirements and deliver a solution that meets those requirements. Interstate travel may be required from time to time.

Specifically your role will have the following responsibilities:

• Software development, software upgrades, verification & validation
• Developing new capabilities of software applications, interfacing with hardware to meet requirements
• Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs
• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies.
• Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults.
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements
• Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
• Providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies on projects.
• Take part in regular training programs

About you and your experience

To be considered for this role you will be a degree qualified Software Engineer with 2 years experience within software development, embedded engineering or equivalent.

You will have a strong sense of customer service, love learning, and have good time management skills. You will be a problem solver who logically and analytically works through the issues without becoming flustered. You will take pride in your work, showing initiative as required, and just get things done. You will be a good communicator and work well on your own.

You will be experienced in .NET, C#, HTML5, JavaScript/jQuery, SQL, Office 365 administration including Azure AD, networking and network architecture, IIS and DNS concepts.

You will have a working knowledge of the backend of the DynamicWeb ecommerce solution.

You will have a working knowledge of ERPs and CRMs (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
