Mechanical Engineer


Tesh Engineering & Fabrication Pty Ltd (hereafter referred to as “TEF”) is a rapidly growing manufacturing and machining company which has a vacancy for a highly skilled professional Mechanical Engineer.

A full-time position for a Mechanical Engineer is available for an immediate start.

Specific duties and responsibilities for the position of Mechanical Engineer are as follows:

· Design, analyse, and optimise mechanical systems for manufacturing at our facilities according to according to engineering principles

· Implement and maintain safety standards and proactively manage them across all assets

· Verify mechanical designs through feasibility studies and performance evaluations

· Review performance, reliability, and condition monitoring reports on key components and assets

· Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to develop specifications, timelines, and budgets

· Lead management of change process for any upgrades to assets

· When required by management, to analyse workforce utilisation based on operational data and production schedules and costs, for monitoring optimal level efficiency of our facilities

· Use software and analysis tools for detailed design assessments, developing specifications, determining materials, equipment, piping and preparing technical documentation

· Perform troubleshooting, investigations and root cause analysis for mechanical issues in existing systems

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from a reputed University, which is equivalent to an Australian Bachelor Degree, and must have at least 2 years of full-time post-qualification Work Experience as a Mechanical Engineer. The candidate must be well converse with managing multi – disciplinary projects and with specific focus on an ability to maintain commitment control oversight. The candidate should have the following specific Work Experience.

SOFTWARE

The candidate must be current user of SolidWorks and AutoCAD as a minimum. We prefer candidate to have access to the above software suits. Candidate must have advanced MS Excel and MS Project user skills with working knowledge of other MS applications such as Word, PowerPoint etc.

STANDARDS

Candidate must demonstrate advanced ruse of the following Engineering Standards;

· Tanks: API 650/653

· Piping: ASME B31

· Pipeline: AS2885

· Electrical. Hazardous Area: AS/NZS 60079

SAFETY

Candidate must demonstrate prior work experience/ capability in the following;

· Behaviour Based Safety System

· Process Safety Management System

· Development of JSAs

· Development of project Readiness Reviews

· Credible, visible field based safety leadership in a safety focussed high hazard industry.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM APPLICATION

Candidate must demonstrate the following;

· Developed & implemented Short Service Worker Program

· Developed & implemented Contractor Management System

· Regular Management System upkeep to a requisite standard.

REPORT WRITING

Candidate must have experience in technical report writing and presenting content using MS PowerPoint.

The successful candidate will be provided with an attractive remuneration package.

The candidate should be self-motivated, be able to work well under pressure, and a team-player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail is important in the role. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and is a self-starter. The candidate must be hard working, organised, creative and passionate about working in a team environment. He or she will be required to work in a high-pressure environment.
