The Role:

Analyse equipment performance to assess reliability, maintainability, and availability

Develop and maintain technical excellence in the operation and maintenance of equipment

Seek improvement in design, development and customisation of products and services for customers

Solution-focussed in design and 3D modelling of equipment using CAD software's

Work as a team in the product portfolio including design, fabrication, and commissioning

Requirements:

Experience developing new products to meet customer needs.

Skilled in developing and maintaining QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and compliance certificates within the mining sector.

Have a passion for engineering and solving problems.

Have a hands on approach when managing various projects/ tasks.

Tertiary degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification.

Minimum 3 years' experience, ideally within the mining or industrial manufacturing space

Proficient in hydraulics, capable of designing, analysing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems.

Proficient in conducting preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on hydraulic equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Demonstrated experience in FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) environments, showcasing adaptability to remote worksites and commitment to rotational schedules.

Preference will be given to applicants that have experience at the following sites:

GFG Whyalla Steel Works

Nyrstar Port Pirie

BHP Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter

Simcoa Operations, Western Australia
