At Zeal 3D Services we are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Melbourne. This is a full-time position.

About This Role

This position will require the successful applicant to research, design, develop & implement mechanical solutions throughout a project - product's life-cycle. This includes the initial stages, as well as the assembly, installation, use and maintenance stages of a product. This position would suit someone who is engaging, and has excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Business & project management skills are valued.

Responsibilities:

1. Create blueprints and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
2. Develop mechanical systems, machines, tools, or components.
3. Conduct tests on prototypes and finished products
4. Analyze test data to determine performance and identify design improvements
5. Develop manufacturing processes and improve production efficiency
6. Select materials and tools for production
7. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and manuals
8. Ensure designs meet safety standards, codes, and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Relevant qualifications
2. Good at CAD software
3. Strong analytical skills and an eye for details
4. Good oral and written communication skills
5. Aptitude for computing and design
6. Good problem-solving skills
