Industrial Engineer – Full-time, Onsite, $100k + Super

About the Role:

ARM Hub is seeking a dynamic Industrial Engineer to deliver innovative projects that strengthen our capability to support Australian SMEs. You will review utilisation of personnel, facilities, equipment, materials, and operational practices to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and implement advanced manufacturing and automation solutions. Your work will optimise operations, lift product quality, and boost throughput across commercial, industrial, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct industrial engineering site visits, design reviews, and workflow optimisation.
2. Lead projects using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban).
3. Analyse processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical efficiency improvements.
4. Specify and integrate automation, robotics, process controls, and sensor technologies.
5. Advise SMEs on industrial engineering, additive manufacturing, materials testing, and materials science.
6. Prepare reports and data-driven documentation to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
7. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
8. Manage sub-projects while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures.
9. Facilitate SME access to business support, grants, IP/legal guidance, and market connections.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Proficiency in simulation, process optimisation software, ERP/MRP systems, and 3D CAD.
2. Strong knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, automation, and robotics.
3. Data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
4. Proven project management, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
5. Experience implementing engineering solutions in industrial or commercial settings.
