We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team and support the development, design, and maintenance of our mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare drawings, plans, and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
2. Assist Mechanical Engineers and Technologists in the design of mechanical equipment and plant.
3. Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for assigned projects.
4. Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, controls, and hydraulic power systems.
5. Estimate material costs, quantities, and machine requirements for projects.
6. Perform and direct field and laboratory tests to ensure performance and safety.
7. Collect and analyze data, carry out complex computations, and prepare technical diagrams and reports.
8. Organize and supervise the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machines and plant equipment.
9. Ensure that all designs and completed work comply with relevant specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician or similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
4. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently under minimal supervision.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
