Job description and requirements:

1. The Technical Senior Consultant – SAP Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) is responsible for delivering high-quality functional and technical solutions across the full project lifecycle, from pre-sales through deployment and transition to Application Management Services (AMS). The role ensures that customer requirements are translated into robust solution designs and that implementations follow SAP standards, industry best practices, and architectural guidelines.

In this role, the consultant acts as a subject matter expert for the SAP Intelligent Asset Management portfolio, including SAP Asset Performance Management (APM), SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration (BNAC), SAP Mobile Solutions (e.g., SAP Service & Asset Manager), and related S/4HANA EAM components. Deep technical expertise is essential to guide design decisions, evaluate architectural options, assess integration approaches, and ensure the overall quality and compatibility of the delivered solution, in line with enterprise architecture principles and customer landscape requirements.

3. The Technical Senior Consultant works collaboratively with functional consultants, developers, architects, project managers, and customer stakeholders to define solution approaches that meet business objectives while adhering to technical standards. This includes preparing comprehensive Functional and Technical Design Documents, validating feasibility, identifying design risks early, and contributing to continuous improvements of internal methodologies, templates, and standard operating procedures.

4. Additionally, the role requires leading technical development teams, providing clear specifications, overseeing build activities, and ensuring development outputs meet the defined quality criteria. The consultant is responsible for conducting design workshops, presenting solution milestones, managing design approvals, and maintaining transparent stakeholder communication throughout the engagement.

5. Throughout integration and validation phases, the consultant acts as Test Manager for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), supporting test preparation, defect triage, and coordination between business users and development teams. During deployment, the consultant manages cutover activities, ensures proper documentation and readiness, and provides structured hypercare support to stabilize the solution after go-live.

6. This role requires strong analytical skills to perform problem analysis, propose technical solutions, and evaluate emerging SAP technologies for potential adoption. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams supports well-informed decisions on project planning, timeline alignment, effort estimation, and architectural considerations in line with customer needs and operational constraints.

7. The Technical Senior Consultant also manages engagement with customer stakeholders to ensure project requirements, expectations, and deadlines are consistently met, while providing regular updates on progress and risks.

Skills, education and experience required:

? At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

? Minimum 6+ years of experience

? Expertise in SAP Modules: ABAP, SSAM, PM, BTP, EAM

? functional and technical knowledge in SAP Service and Asset Manager

? ABAP Development across ECC, S/4HANA, and Cloud environments

? Integration Skills: OData, REST, SOAP, BAPIs, IDocs, PI/PO

? Solution Design and Functional Specification Development

? Vertical/business process knowledge in the Utilities industry
