Endurance Mining's Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead-silver projects.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Engineer for an ongoing full time position at our Abra Mine site between the towns of Newman and Meekatharra in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer you will be responsible for delivering the detailed monthly mine plan & designs required to meet the 12-month mine plan to maximise the NPV of the underground operation, and ensuring that the highest technical and safety standards are maintained.

Other key duties of the position include:

  1. Produce final designs on new ore bodies and/or new areas.
  2. Update physicals and status changes from final designs into mine Schedule
  3. Ensure Stope reconciliations are completed and report provided
  4. Ensure mine design Mine Works Instructions are designed, approved and distributed as per the schedule to meet the monthly plan and for 12 month forecasting purposes.
  5. Provide monthly plan data and required tasks to project and production staff
  6. Work with Ventilation Officer in the development of Ventilation circuits for stope design.
  7. Work with the Engineering team on the development of stope shapes and sequence.

About You

You will have

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
  2. Minimum 3 year's mining experience, in an underground environment
  3. Engineering software skills and knowledge (Deswik skills and knowledge highly desirable)
  4. Experience with completion of level designs and monthly/quarterly scheduling
  5. Experience in economic assessments inclusive of development and infrastructure
  6. Current "C" Class Western Australian driver's license
  7. First Class Mine Managers Certificate and/or WA underground Supervisors Certificate will be considered favourably.
