The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ICT Support Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will provide essential technical support for the deployment and maintenance of computer infrastructure and web technology. This role is critical in ensuring our clients receive efficient and effective diagnosis and resolution of technical problems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (Aligned with ANZSCO 3131) * Problem Diagnosis & Resolution: Determine software and hardware requirements to provide effective solutions to technical problems.

  1. Technical Support: Respond to inquiries from clients and internal staff regarding software and hardware issues, providing education and guidance.
  2. System Deployment: Install, configure, and download appropriate software and applications to meet specific user and business requirements.
  3. Network Maintenance: Implement and maintain computer networks, ensuring high availability and secure connectivity.
  4. Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain computer infrastructure, including repairing or replacing peripheral equipment such as terminals, printers, and modems.
  5. Optimization: Adapt existing programs and systems to meet evolving user requirements and ensure the efficient use of equipment and applications.
  6. Web Support: Assist in the design and maintenance of websites and provide web technology solutions to clients.
  7. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system configurations, hardware inventory, and service desk requests.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Qualification: A relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (Skill Level 2) in Information Technology or a related field.
  2. Experience: At least one to two years of relevant work experience in ICT support.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of computer hardware assembly, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  4. Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
  5. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide technical guidance to non-technical users.
