SystemDatabase Engineering Architect ActioNet has an immediate position for a senior level Database Architect to provide technical and strategic guidance to senior- level database administrators in the management and maintenance of databases supporting evolving applications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience with managing and supporting Oracle databases in ExadataUnix environments and a total of 15 years in IT. The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently. The Database Architect will be part of an enterprise team supporting a large Federal account encompassing data engineering, data management, application support, data sharing, data operations, and data infrastructure support services for over 650 servers, over 825 Oracle databases, and over 90 SQL Server databases. Responsibilities Serve as the senior level Database Architect to a Federal government program with solutions for Oracle engineered service (Exadata with over 350 TB production databases) and other Oracle technologies to include Golden Gate, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, Fusion MiddlewareSOA, Data at Rest Encryption, ZDLRA, Enterprise Manager (OEM), Data Masking, Identity Management, BI Publisher, Oracle Enterprise Linux, interfacing with other non-Oracle toolssystems MS SQL Server database technologies DellEMC technologies (RP4VM, DD Boost) and infrastructurenetwork technologies Extensive experience with Oracle 19c, 18c, 12c release 2 Architecture and database infrastructure design and Oracle 19c new features Strong hands-on experience with the Exadata platform to include the deployment of databases, monitoring and performance tuning Provide leadership to manage and guide complex projects Set and guide directions for deploying solution to the Cloud Environment like AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and SalesForce. Support management teams in technology decisions and help identify their impacts and risks Communicate and interact with government customers Qualifications Must have solid understanding of Oracle database and Oracle Fusion mid-tier technologies, and how they interact Must have solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server database and data management technologies Must have solid understanding of Data Replication technologies like Oracle Advanced Replication and Oracle Golden Gate Must have solid understanding of hardware, VM, and infrastructure management Must have solid understanding of application integration and data transfers Must have solid understanding of SAN storage, preferably NetApp and DataDomain Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field 15 or more years of experience in Oracle and MS SQL Server databases 5 or more years of experience as technical lead or architect Hands-on experience in database full lifecycle implementations and operations Strong organization skills to prioritize work and lead complex projects Strong communication skills to work with all level of management and customers Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel ITIL v3 is required Must have a Secret clearance Top Secret is a plus
